Michael Demain - Artist Biography
Michael Demainwas born in the Lancashire Pennines where he still lives with his wife Michelle and two children.
Michael Demainstarted painting in 1991 after a chance meeting with well-known dog and wildlife artist Steven Townsend. In his early days he exhibited widely in the North of England where he won several open exhibitions until turning professional in 1999. Michael's original paintings are now sold privately and are highly collectable by art enthusiasts who appreciate the precise detail of
Michael Demains unique style of work.

Michael Demainwork can also be seen at events run by the Wildlife Arts Society, Marwell Wildlife Art Society, and the annual exhibition run by NEWA in Liverpool. Just recently he started exhibiting at the Falconry fair and the Scottish and English game fairs.
When he is not working, Michael spends his time walking and bird watching among the Bowland fells and it is here that much of his inspiration for his work comes from.
He greatly admires the work of Belgian artist Carl Brenders and counts himself very fortunate that he is able to paint wildlife for a living.
