Brian Tovey - Artist Biography

Brian Tovey attended Kings Heath Horticultural College where he gained a thorough training in the painting of botanical subjects. This can be seen in the particularly fine way he paints landscapes and natural life, in which his work depicts the minutest details in the ever changing patterns of the countryside, illustrating the seasonal changes in colours, shade, depth and feeling.

His more recent works have concentrated on the world of horses, in particular his superb paintings of famous race horses in which he captures the energy, enthusiasm and exhilaration of the moment.

Over recent years Cachet has developed a very close and trusting working relationship with Brian. He is now our most prolific Greeting Card artist and has produced a wide portfolio of painting covering many aspects of country life such as Fox hunting, Game Shooting, Farming, Equestrian, Dogs and many more exclusively for our Countryside Card Collection. All of his Greeting Card designs are also available as larger framed pictures or prints.

Brian's paintings have been appreciated and purchased by many famous people throughout the world, including royalty and his original oils can be viewed at his own gallery in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire.
